Since no one can seem to figure out why it’s VERY important to wear a mask (don’t worry- there’s post on that coming soon), here are my 4 book pics for July. Giving you guys 4 because we definitely still have the time (thanks to the non-mask wearers). Click on the links to buy! Let me know what you think of each- enjoy!

So You Want to Talk About Race” Ijeoma Olou

With the Black Lives Matter Movement currently happening, I would see a lot of information on social media- I mean A LOT. I wanted to find something to could read that I could trust. I wanted to gets the FACTS about cultural appropriation, intersectionality, etc. (if you don’t know what I’m talking about, this book is for you!). I needed some good information so I could educate myself before forming my own opinions.

Truly, Madly, Guilty” Liane Moriarty

I am a SUCKER for a good family/friend drama. Who slept with who? Whose kid said what? I’m here for it. This book holds out a big secret until towards the end. The whole time I was TEARING through the pages trying to figure out what this big secret was. And it was definitely worth it.

They Both Die at the End” Adam Silvera

Okay this might seem like a horrible book to read right now, but it’s more about living your life to the fullest, because you just never know what could happen. Tells a story of two young guys living their lives with no regrets- think we all need a reminder of how to do that right now.

“Normal People” Sally Rooney

A fabulous book as well as a fantastic Hulu series (you’ve probably seen pictures of the actor that plays the male lead, Paul Mescal floating around Instagram- he’s a pretty good lookin guy). Read the book and then watch the series- I promise you won’t regret it.

    1. The author of “So You Want to Talk About Race” is from my city, Seattle. Love her strength and straight talk! Thank you for suggesting this book.
