Did October feel like one week for anyone else? I am so excited that we are getting closer to the Holidays! Because the weather is getting colder, we’ll be spending more time indoors- which means more reading! If you’re not someone that reads regularly, make it a goal for yourself to finish 2 books before the end of the year. If you can’t decide what to read, don’t worry! The books I’ve picked for November are two of my favorites.
A beautiful coming- of- age story about a girl growing up on her own. The story takes place in a small North Carolina town in the 1960s. The main character lives on the outskirts of the town, in the marsh. She is ignored by most of the population, and they call her “Marsh Girl”. The book takes you on her journey of figuring out how to live alone and raise herself. There’s a surprising murder mystery, we’re reminded of the beauty of nature, and discover how the children we were shape us as adults. Also, it was recently announced that they’re making this book into a movie!
